Safety Statement
This Safety Statement sets out the general policy of Shanley Engineering.
The aim of this policy is to ensure Shanley Engineering will do all that is reasonably practicable to secure the Safety, Health, and Welfare of our employees whilst at work and all others affected by our work.
Shanley Engineering will endeavour to comply with all legal enactments relating to Safety, Health and Welfare in the workplace. This Safety Statement is prepared in accordance with Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
We also take account of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007. S.I. No. 299, 2007. All our works will also endeavour to take account of the CONSTRUCTION REGUALTIONS OF 2006, S.I. No. 504,2006, which place responsibilities on all persons working in the construction sector.
Safety is everybody’s responsibility and it is the duty of all personnel to take all reasonable precautions to avoid injury to themselves and those who may be affected by their actions. ShanleyEngineering recognise that the primary responsibility for providing and maintaining safe working conditions bears on Management and will endeavour to do everything that is reasonably practicable to comply with this responsibility.
The achievement of a safe and healthy working environment requires the commitment and co-operation of all employees.

Environmental Policy
- As an organisation, we at Shanley engineering understand that we have a responsibility to demonstrate sound Environmental awareness throughout the business and endeavour to implement best practice at all times. we aim to reduce, reuse and recycle as efficiently as possible to ensure that staff are provided with the necessary awareness, education and resources to fully implement the policy in the spirit it is intended. To this end we aim to:
Manage our operations with diligence and with the awareness that our goal is to protect the environment and prevent pollution, by employing the best control mechanisms, procedures and processes which are proven technologically sound and economically feasible.
- The Implementation of the Company Environmental Policy is a key priority of both senior and line management in Shanley Engineering.
- Comply with relevant environmental legislation and company guidelines and provide self-monitoring to ensure compliance by conducting regular environmental audits and assessments.
- Publish the Environmental Policy internally, by communication to all employees and posting this document on notice boards, and externally to all interested parties on request.
- Train our employees to achieve continual improvement in Environmental practice.
- Focus on the primary environmental concerns: the management of waste and energy efficiency in offices, and management of environmental issues on site.
Foster openness, dialogue, enhanced communication and discussion with employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, and all interested parties regarding our environmental performance, objectives and targets. encourage all to have greater environmental awareness.
To promote the reduction of waste products from our projects and promote the reusing of materials on alternative sites wherever possible. All site inductuions will include the disposal of waste product and the importance of minimising environmental impact of our actions at all times.
The procurement department shall take into consideration environmental factors such as pollution, recycling and the reduction of packaging materials when sourcing products.
This policy is endorsed by Management and is embedded throughout all systems in place in the organisation.
